About Me

Hello, I’m Sarah

I am a Child Counsellor and have worked with children and young people in various professional roles for over twenty years.

I began my work in counselling in 2008 when I trained as a Childline Counsellor.  I still work for Childline, supporting children and young people who are often in crisis, with a wide variety of issues.

SARAH-MILLS

Over the years I have furthered my therapeutic training and deepened my experience of working with children and young people, becoming a registered Child Counsellor.

My training has been “integrative” which means I am able to draw upon a wide range of therapeutic approaches and tailor my way of working to the particular needs of each child or young person.

I am a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and hold an enhanced DBS disclosure certificate.

In the past I have worked in schools as a school nurse and for a charity as a safeguarding lead.

My counselling training includes

The Insititute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE)

Diploma in Child Counselling achieved with distinction

IATE is one of the UK’s leading counselling schools and a member organisation of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The Mindsight Institute, UCLA

Certificate in Interpersonal Neurobiology
